Diabetes is one of the most serious health issues facing older adults in Atlanta.

Action Ministries-Atlanta (formerly named Atlanta Urban Ministries) is a 48-year-old, faith-based nonprofit which operates a daily Community Kitchen for homeless women, an Emergency Assistance and Empowerment Program for families on the verge of homelessness and Children’s Programming for children and youth in Atlanta’s homeless shelters.
