- The Cathedral of St. Philip will offer a Choral Requiem Eucharist Sunday, Nov. 3, at 4 p.m. to express the intercommunion of the living with those who have entered into the nearer presence of God. Written as a liturgical work and sung this day by the Cathedral Choir with a string orchestra and organ, Dan Locklair’s setting of the ancient and image-rich Christian texts of the Requiem mass will be sung in its intended context of worship – a fully choral service of Holy Communion. As with all worship services, admission is free and all are welcome.

They discuss the essential role of unity among Christian denominations and through shared partnership we can amplify our call to seek justice for marginalized voices. - “Being a Healing Presence” workshop with Tom Camp, St. Mary’s Sewanee, for professional and lay caregivers including psychotherapists, counselors, clergy, healthcare professionals, and educators. In this workshop, participants will explore the concept of being “fully present” with another as a healing experience for both care-giver and care-receiver. - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Metro Atlanta Chapter of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society will help those who are interested in learning more about how to trace their family roots on Nov. 9. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts about a variety of topics including basic research techniques and strategies, careful analysis of records and primary sources, evaluating DNA results, using military records, oral histories, free online tools and resources, etc. Presenters include board members and experts from AAHGS Metro Atlanta Chapter, directors and archivists from the Atlanta History Center, authors, historians, and experienced genealogists. Participants of all ages are invited and will be able to attend three of the nine 50-minute classes offered, from 9:00 am to noon. - North Fulton Community Charities Coat and Thanksgiving Food Drives are combined this year.
