An AmeriCorps service project for the city of Atlanta involves developing a volunteer program that will serve the participants at the Thomasville Center of Hope pilot center (1835 Henry Thomas Drive, Atlanta 30315). Out of Hand Theater, along with community partners the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Fulton County Remembrance Coalition, are continuing the popular dinner series with Equitable Dinners Atlanta: A Day of Racial Healing Tuesday, Jan.17, from 6-9 p.m., both in person and online. The National Day of Racial Healing offers space to reflect while preparing for another year in pursuit of equity. This event will be launched by an original short play and facilitated conversation will take place in small groups around Atlanta's racial history and how it affects communities today. Equitable Dinners hopes to face our past, reclaim our present, and transform our future through courageous conversations and theater.

It may be used for individual reflection, group Bible study, adult education sessions, and congregational daily devotions. This began on June 16 but can be used at any time.
