Diabetes is one of the most serious health issues facing older adults in Atlanta.
Among the Medicare population ages 65 or older living in Atlanta, it is estimated that more than 30,000 have undiagnosed diabetes and 80,000+ have prediabetes. Diabetes can often be prevented, and those found to have diabetes can take steps to control it—if they know they have it. The first step is to visit your health care provider or clinic and get screened.
