MLK Weekend Tree Planting, Brook Run Park, 4770 N Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody 30338, Monday, January 16, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Help plant 100 new trees near the multi-use to help sustain our urban forest. Out of Hand Theater, along with community partners the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and the Fulton County Remembrance Coalition, are continuing the popular dinner series with Equitable Dinners Atlanta: A Day of Racial Healing Tuesday, Jan.17, from 6-9 p.m., both in person and online. The National Day of Racial Healing offers space to reflect while preparing for another year in pursuit of equity. This event will be launched by an original short play and facilitated conversation will take place in small groups around Atlanta's racial history and how it affects communities today. Equitable Dinners hopes to face our past, reclaim our present, and transform our future through courageous conversations and theater.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, saddened by the all-too-frequent occurrences of gun violence in the U.S., invites you on a journey of prayer, scripture, stories, and church teachings with this resource, A 60-Day Journey Towards Justice in a Culture of Gun Violence - an ELCA Resource Through daily observances, it calls us to work toward the prevention of gun violence as people of God who strive for justice and peace in all the world. It may be used for individual reflection, group Bible study, adult education sessions, and congregational daily devotions. This began on June 16 but can be used at any time.
