The Taize Community is an international, ecumenical community founded by Brother Roger in 1940. Prayer in the Taize Community is characterized by meditative singing of simple, easily learned songs in many languages. The Taize Community is a pilgrimage destination and its worship practices have spread throughout the world. At the heart of Taize is peace and reconciliation.
