Financial Aid Saturdays for college bound students

Please let young people interested in college and in need of financial help know about Financial Aid Saturdays, 30 minutes could change a life. This is not just for Atlanta Public School students.  To Register, sign up at a APS High School Career and College Center, call 404-653-5558 or complete an online form available by clicking HERE

Free, one-on-one help for high school seniors and their parents in filing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Georgia Student Financial Aid Application (GSFAPPS)

  • Questions answered by college financial aid experts from Atlanta area colleges & universities
  • Assistance with scholarship applications
  • Assistance in filing income tax returns at select event sites to expedite your financial aid filing*

Financial Aid Saturdays are FREE and open to the public. Be sure to spread the word to students and families who may benefit from these services.

Georgia Alliance to Prevent Homelessness announces a Call for Presenters for the 2026 Conference, Community Power in Ending Homelessness: From Systems to Solutions, taking place May 4–6, 2026 at the Marietta Conference Center. This year’s conference will focus on aligning federal and state direction with community-driven innovation, measurable outcomes, and long-term stability. Practitioners, policymakers, researchers, advocates, law enforcement, healthcare partners, and community leaders are invited to submit workshop proposals aligned with the following tracks: 1. Federal & State Policy Shifts, 2. Community-Driven Solutions, 3. Long-Term Self-Sufficiency & Outcomes, 4. Data, Accountability & Measuring Success, 5. Workforce Sustainability,  6. Housing Stability & Supply, 7. Homelessness Reform & System Transformation,  8. Crisis Response, Workplace Safety & Public Safety Partnerships, 9. Addressing Root Causes Before and Alongside Housing.
