Flourishing Congregations
Because there’s never enough money to provide all of the services and support you want to offer, we’re sharing information about a group of Atlanta business leaders who are passionate about their religion and want the churches, as well as temples and mosques, to flourish because they know how critical religious organizations are to a strong, thriving community - our community needs our religious leadership and their congregations. At no cost to your congregation, the group will provide consulting and advisory services to help control or lower operating costs. Your congregations can get a second opinion about getting the right price for the right level of service for business services that include:
Insurance: health plus employee benefits
IT / computer support
Accounting / CPA services
Event / tent rentals
HR policy & compliance consulting
Insurance: property & casualty
Internet / phone connectivity
Legal services
Payroll
Printing
Security systems
It doesn’t cost anything to listen. So if money tight, they are inspired to help your congregation. For more information or to schedule an initial consultation, please contact Hal Schlenger at (770)335.0077 or HSchlenger@GreatSouthBenefits.com
If your ministry serves Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids, the Dept. of Human Services has a message and materials for you.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, saddened by the all-too-frequent occurrences of gun violence in the U.S., invites you on a journey of prayer, scripture, stories, and church teachings with this resource, A 60-Day Journey Towards Justice in a Culture of Gun Violence - an ELCA Resource Through daily observances, it calls us to work toward the prevention of gun violence as people of God who strive for justice and peace in all the world. It may be used for individual reflection, group Bible study, adult education sessions, and congregational daily devotions. This began on June 16 but can be used at any time.
