The site provides a variety of resources to help church leaders build cancer awareness and promote healthy lifestyles within their faith community. The site contains cancer information, information about programs targeting the African American community, scriptures, pastoral care guidance, as well as tools and resources such as the Partnering For Life toolkit, bulletin inserts, family health history, and much more.

The importance of Partnering for Life is evident considering the cancer statistics for African Americans. Death rates from cancer have been declining among both African American men and women; yet the cancer death rate among African American men is still 35 percent higher than that for white men, and 18 percent higher in African American women compared to white women. In fact, for most cancers, African Americans have the highest cancer death rate and shortest survival rate than any other racial or ethnic group.
