Harvest of Hope is the ecumenical study, worship, and mission retreat program of the Society of St. Andrew. We have a local office of this gleaning organization and Adam Graham has informed us of an opportunity for an intergenerational retreat for your church or group this fall. Participants learn about domestic and global hunger. Through a variety of educational tools, coupled with the physical labor of gleaning, they begin to see that one person really can make a difference. The nondenominational worship helps bring into focus the relationship between faith and service to the poor. Participants from many different faith traditions join together in worship, showing love by their unity. There will be a unique intergenerational weekend retreat harvesting apples, September 20-22, at Pinnacle Retreat Center in Clayton. Find out more.
If your ministry serves Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids, the Dept. of Human Services has a message and materials for you.
