August 25th- Family Friendly Volunteer Opportunity- BCM Community Service Day

It is Buckhead Christian Ministry’s 25 th Anniversary, and we want to celebrate with you! For 25 years, families in crisis have walked through our doors to ask for help. On Saturday, August 25, we are going to them!

Hundreds of volunteers of all ages will join together to improve the lives of our neighbors by beautifying the spaces in which they live, work and play - parks, community centers, apartment complexes and schools. We currently have 19 beautification projects all around Atlanta that we need to fill with volunteers like you!

The celebration will culminate at Chastain Park with lunch offerings from some of Atlanta’s favorite food trucks and a specially designed Kids’ Zone!

This is a perfect opportunity for church members, colleagues, friends and families to work side by side to make a visible impact on our city! There will be something for everyone, from the very young to the young at heart.

To view the projects and to register, visit buckheadchristianministry.org/events and click the "register Now" button. For more information or if you have any questions, email JessieModlin@bcmatlanta.org or call 404-239-0058 ext.111. We look forward to you serving with us!

Especially for youth ministers and leaders: The Regional Council of Churches is partnering with the Georgia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in SHARE HOPE. Suicide is a leading cause of death in young people. What is the role of the faith community in ministering to troubled young people? Share Hope is an interfaith social media contest to promote the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Because we know that just pausing before acting often stops a suicide attempt, 988 is one important tool in fostering a healthy community. Have a look www.988ga.org/faith. This activity could be a great way to start off the school year with your creative youth group. And, your group could win a $250 Pizza Party--there will be ten winners.
