An AmeriCorps service project for the city of Atlanta involves developing a volunteer program that will serve the participants at the Thomasville Center of Hope pilot center (1835 Henry Thomas Drive, Atlanta 30315). The majority of the volunteer opportunities available involve working with the after school program, which is facilitated by the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. One immediate need is for volunteer tutors. You can find additional volunteer opportunities by going to the City of Atlanta volunteer website, iamatlanta.org.
