The Atlanta Regional Commission, Area Agency on Aging is looking for a few dedicated volunteers who are passionate about educating older adults on issues related to retirement. Volunteers are needed to provide one-on-one counseling and/or informal community presentations. Previous experience in these topic areas is not required. Comprehensive training is provided. A volunteer training session will be held on August 19 and 20 for those interested in the Mapping Your Future program. For additional information on this program and volunteer opportunities, please contact Kristie Sharp at email@example.com or 404-463-0437.
Food Pantry Forum, July 25, 10 a.m., 458 Ponce de Leon Avenue. Our hosts are the Grace United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Board of Global Missions with coffee and treats provided by United Way.
We plan a robust program with a presentation -- Being a Client Choice Pantry, Developing Partnerships, Where We Get the Food We Give. After the presentations we will have time for Q & A and conversation as we continue to learn from each other.
Through the generosity of the manager of Lowe’s at Newnan Crossing we will have a great door prize, a refrigerator! And, delivered to your location! So be thinking if this could help your pantry take advantage of fresh produce from gardens and prepared food from restaurants or catering services.
We need to know if you are coming. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
