The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals. For over 50 years, VITA has offered free tax help to people who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns, including: people who generally make $58,000 or less; persons with disabilities; and limited English-speaking taxpayers. United Way of Greater Atlanta provides free tax preparation services to the community through a partnership with the Internal Revenue Service. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides Greater Atlanta’s working individuals and families free tax prep to low-to-moderate income ($58,000 and under). Taxes are prepared by IRS trained and certified volunteers. We want you to keep ALL your tax refund.
