Tex Sample at Sandy Springs Christian Church

Tex Sample, a world renowned storyteller, author, pastor, and servant will be giving three lectures as part of the Trail Mix Lecture Series at Sandy Springs Christian Church, June 17-18. Sandy Springs Christian Church, 301 Johnson Ferry Road, NW, Sandy Springs, has a long tradition of bringing nationally sought-after preachers and speakers to our area in this lecture series. “A Christian Justice, the first lecture, is 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17 “Talking the Talk" and "Walking the Walk," the second and third, will be Saturday, June 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Childcare is available with advanced registration. Especially for youth ministers and leaders: The Regional Council of Churches is partnering with the Georgia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in SHARE HOPE. Suicide is a leading cause of death in young people. What is the role of the faith community in ministering to troubled young people? Share Hope is an interfaith social media contest to promote the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
