The Georgia Poor People's Campaign will be onsite with mobilizing partners Houston County NAACP, Fair Count, Common Cause, Union of Southern Service Workers (USSW), NewLife-Second Chance Outreach, Inc., Georgia Budget & Policy Institute, and others.

Join us for the Meet & Greet ahead of the Candidate Forum/Discussion where you can:

  • Meet & Greet Candidates for races on your ballot
  • Get information about issues to consider before you cast your ballot, when you make your voting plan, and if you have any issues casting your vote
  • Hear Your Candidates answer the Need-to-Know Questions brought to you in partnership with our mobilizing partners
  • Leave with information that you can share with your family, friends, and community to mobilize them to the polls and beyond to civic action

We must do M.O.R.E. (mobilize, organize, register, and educate) in every election if we want to see change!

Georgia Alliance to Prevent Homelessness announces a Call for Presenters for the 2026 Conference, Community Power in Ending Homelessness: From Systems to Solutions, taking place May 4–6, 2026 at the Marietta Conference Center. This year’s conference will focus on aligning federal and state direction with community-driven innovation, measurable outcomes, and long-term stability. Practitioners, policymakers, researchers, advocates, law enforcement, healthcare partners, and community leaders are invited to submit workshop proposals aligned with the following tracks: 1. Federal & State Policy Shifts, 2. Community-Driven Solutions, 3. Long-Term Self-Sufficiency & Outcomes, 4. Data, Accountability & Measuring Success, 5. Workforce Sustainability,  6. Housing Stability & Supply, 7. Homelessness Reform & System Transformation,  8. Crisis Response, Workplace Safety & Public Safety Partnerships, 9. Addressing Root Causes Before and Alongside Housing.
