An opportunity for people in your congregation to be their own advocates. Citizens are encouraged participate in public hearings to assist the County in finalizing amendments to the 2012 Action Plan concerning housing issues in the community. Comments will be provided to Fulton County Board of Commissioners. The scheduled public hearings are:
Monday, February 27, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Rd., College Park
Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., North Fulton Service Center, 7741 Roswell Rd., Atlanta. .
Monday, March 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Southwest Regional Library, 3665 Cascade Rd., SW, Atlanta.
All Fulton County meeting facilities meet ADA accessibility requirements. Citizens in need of reasonable accommodations and communication in an alternative format, please contact the Department of Housing and Human Services at (404) 613-7944.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, saddened by the all-too-frequent occurrences of gun violence in the U.S., invites you on a journey of prayer, scripture, stories, and church teachings with this resource, A 60-Day Journey Towards Justice in a Culture of Gun Violence - an ELCA Resource Through daily observances, it calls us to work toward the prevention of gun violence as people of God who strive for justice and peace in all the world. It may be used for individual reflection, group Bible study, adult education sessions, and congregational daily devotions. This began on June 16 but can be used at any time.
