Live nativity scene, Bethlehem, shepherds’ fields and the heavenly host all on the lawn of St. John UMC, 550 Mt. Paran Rd, NW, Atlanta 30327. Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8, 6 – 8 p.m. Refreshments.

Live animals at the nativity at Sardis United Methodist Church, live performances every 30 minutes, carols in the sanctuary, refreshments in the fellowship hall, Saturday December 14, 6 – 8 p.m., 3725 Powers Ferry Road, Atlanta. www.sardischurch.com

Experience a Christmas like no other! Don’t miss “An Evening in Bethlehem,” a free, indoor, community-wide Christmas event for all ages, Saturday, Dec. 7, at Roswell United Methodist Church. Roam through the authentic 1st Century marketplace, brought to life by costumed characters and real animals. Share the excitement of shepherds, Roman soldiers, shopkeepers, and artisans, and witness the live production that tells the story of the very first Christmas. What to do

Call your U.S. Representative and urge them not to accept the Senate version of the budget reconciliation bill without amendments that:
1. Protect vulnerable populations by restoring or preserving funding for food assistance, healthcare, housing, education, and childcare.
2. Avoid placing new, unfunded administrative burdens on states and nonprofits.
3. Retain programs that are essential to local jobs, services, and economic resilience in communities across your district, including Inflation Reduction Act funding.
Reach out to local officials to speak about the economic harm involved, and ask them to speak out against provisions that harm your nonprofit as an employer and contributor to the local economy.
Mobilize your network to do the same. Every voice counts!
