Supporting the next generation of leaders for the church.

The mission is to advance excellence as they encourage caring, capable, and courageous young adults from diverse backgrounds on their journey to become pastors and scholars—the next generation of leaders for the church.

Fellows include distinguished pastors and scholars, among them: Walter Brueggeman, Frederick Buechner, Katie Cannon, James Forbes, Robert Franklin Jr., Peter Gomes, Jacquelyn Grant, William Gray, Mark Hanson, Dwight Hopkins, Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz, L. Greg Jones, John Kuykendall, Gary Simpson, Barbara Brown Taylor, Linda Thomas, Emilie Townes, Jeremiah Wright and many others.
FTE leads vocational initiatives with congregations. Calling Congregations is a national, ecumencial initiative that encourages and equips congregations to raise the next generation of leaders for the church by offering resources, conferences, and matching funds for Congregational Fellowships.
