World Food Day is October 16

Our God,  give us wisdom to recognize our abundance and compassion to
share that abundance widely.
Give us open hearts to accept the generosity of others, especially when it
comes unexpectedly and in unfamiliar wrappings.
Give us wisdom and courage to live simply even when all those around us are
striving for more than they need.
Give us the insight to understand how we can heal brokenness in ourselves by
helping to end hunger and healing the earth.
O God, give us the ability to trust that there truly is enough for all.
      Amen
