2. Atlanta Welcomes the World: Neighborhood Safety & Community Awareness during FIFA. Residents, community leaders, faith groups, and local business are all invited to the conversation. 3. Advocacy Days March 26-27 Columbia Seminary. What if creating sanctuary isn’t about a place but a discipline? Set aside time for a conference offering theological grounding for advocacy in a time of uncertainty and injustice with lectures by seminary professors and workshops by community partners like Georgia Equality, Casa Alterna and Presbyterians for a Better Georgia. 4. The Daughters of the Mary Sandra Chapter of The Daughters Of the King will facilitate a Lenten Taize Service on Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m. This Service of Prayer, Chanting, and Meditation will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 6780 James B. 5. Remember Death Ends a Life, Not a Relationship: A Contemplative Workshop on campus at Shallowford Presbyterian Church, Saturday, March 28, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., facilitated by Conscious Dying Coach, Susan Patterson. 6. On Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association docents will share the story of cemetery c.1896, one of the more than seventy burial grounds in the City of Atlanta on less than an acre, the iconic adjacent church, a rare extant example of Southern vernacular architecture built c. 1890 and the Post Oak tree in front. The tree dates to 1730 +/- 10 years and is documented as one of the oldest trees in Atlanta. Pleasant Hill Cemetery 3612 West Paces Ferry Road N.W.

7. From the Jung Society: “Welcoming Our Gods Back Home: The Wisdom of Psychological Mysticism” with Dr. Jerry R. Wright, D. Min, an in-person and ZOOM online lecture on Saturday, March 28, 10:00 a.m.– 12:30 p.m., followed by a light lunch and Q&A for in-person attendees. Drawing on Jung’s Analytical Psychology and a variety of mystical traditions, the presentation and discussion will focus on psychological mysticism that has the potential to bridge our dangerous divisions. The Carl Jung Society of Atlanta provides workshops and lectures for mental health professionals and anyone interested in the body of thought derived from the work of C.G. Jung.
 
8. The Rev. Enid Almanzar is the preacher on Day1 for Palm Sunday, March 29. She is with the National Latino Evangelical Coalition. 10. Raising Rooted Kids: Effective Communication at Home. The Church at Wieuca, 3626 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta 30326, is hosting a series of parenting conferences created to encourage and equip families through faith-centered teaching and practical guidance. Parents and caregivers in every stage are invited to grow, connect, and be strengthened, learning to raise children with purpose, grace, and God’s wisdom. On March 29, 12 – 2 p.m., professional counselor Amy Head will lead a session on Effective Communication at Home. She will offer practical strategies to help families listen with understanding, speak with clarity, navigate conflict in healthy ways, and build stronger connections through intentional, grace-filled conversation. Register

11. Oak Grove United Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt and More, Sunday, March 29, 2:30 p.m. Egg Hunts are held in various parts of campus based on children's ages. 12. The Cathedral of St. Philip will present its annual service entitled “A Meditation on the Passion of Christ, with Carols” on Palm Sunday, March 29, at 4 p.m., sung by the Cathedral Schola. This service consists of various scriptural readings of the season — some chanted and some read — punctuated by anthems, antiphons and congregational hymnody. There is no admission charge and the general public is cordially invited to attend.

13. Come to Eastside Church Sunday, March 29, at 4 p.m. for some good music, joy, & community! All are welcome to come and enjoy the music. The Garden-Fresh Pickers with special guests Mark and Lady Outlaw. Children Welcome suggested donation $10; 468 Moreland Avenue.

14. The Montag Speaker Series at The Temple will welcome Megan Black Johnson to speak on “State of the Alliance: Racism & Antisemitism.” Registration is open at Montag Speaker Series - Event - The Temple . 19. The Morgan Forum, an annual conversation about the past, present, and future of the Bible, started in 2023, in connection with Pitts Theological Library’s establishment of the J. Michael Morgan English Bible & Psalmody Collection.  This event brings together Biblical scholars, translators, collectors, and the general public to consider the impact of the Bible on the church and culture and to learn from one of the world’s premier collections of English Bibles. Mark Rankin will speak on “William Tyndale’s English New Testament and Its Influence on the English Language,” Thursday, April 2, 2026.   The Morgan Forum events are free and open to the public. This interactive resource highlights the often-overlooked leadership of Jo Ann Robinson and Claudette Colvin during the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Designed for Grades 5, 8, and 9–12, students examine archival materials and complete a hands-on “puzzle box” activity using primary source clues. Along the way, they explore women’s leadership, community organizing strategies, and the vital role of youth in the Civil Rights Movement.
