- Last fall, the music world was buzzing about the newly discovered organ pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach. Second-Ponce de Leon organist Jack Mitchener will give the first Atlanta performance at Emory's Schwartz Center on Sat, Mar. 21 at 8 p.m. The concert will also include Bach’s Cantata 51 for solo soprano, trumpet, and string orchestra, Handel’s Organ Concerto called ‘The Cuckoo & the Nightingale’ and a performance by the Emory Concert Choir of Handel’s Coronation Anthem, “The King Shall Rejoice" conducted by Eric Nelson. The program will last about an hour without intermission and tickets are not required.
